ZERO WASTE DESIGN

Sustainable Fashion, Minimal Cutting.

DESIGN

A Yarn, A Fabric seeks an identity; design often becomes a mediation, narrating the tales of the fabric and the process.

The love of fabric and the innate love for pattern making pushes us through a massive overwhelm of cutting through the fabrics, wanting to retain as much as possible. As the intention goes, with flat sketches for the available dimensions, the fabrics take on a form. Square cuts in bias and straight grain with folds and pleats that convert to garments.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Zero Waste Design & Maximum Utilization has always been the design ethos at Rang’.

We see fabric as something that wants to achieve its full potential, yet, retaining its inherent way of being. Every fabric wants to be something and with that belief, let the fabric decide for itself. The fabric is draped on the dress form or on a model for it to talk back and give some answers. Most times it does and the times it doesn’t, we let it be. Every fabric has its day.

The fabric scraps, the leftover pieces, sort of tease, inspire and encourage us, to be part of a story, to create beauty or craft or history. Some of them find their place in an ingenious scarf whereas some convert to beautiful brooches, buttons, and wallets.

The love for our craft attracts more loving teammates to complete what we take on and make it accessible for an audience. With every collection, we strive to take our customers closer to a greener closet.

The fabrics are either seeking attention or are at rest. Yes, if aware, it is a spiritual process, mostly of being a mediator.
